Are they three different physical licenses? If you chose a profile you're
stuck with it for good or can you switch between the license profiles on the

- Link glitch?Very strange problem...
I've been working on a website for some time, with working links to PDF files.
Everything was working swimmingly, except for now. Whenever I click on a
ling, I get two tabs open in Firefox. One says untitled, the other starts
loading, and then opens a site called "intellagencia"
The links worked fine the first time I opened them today.... but now, no.
My code, which was working fine is:
ahrc_btn.onRelease = function (){
getURL("SessionsWorkshopsHRConference1.pdf");
}
all pdf's are in the correct file folder.
Any insight would be appreciated!

- Flash Site Design HelpHi,
I just incorporated HappyBody.biz LLC and need some Flash site design help.
I put an ad in the local college newspaper and got NO hits. (Stetson
University, Deland FL, 29SEP05)
Does anyone know anyone that can take a Flash template and build me a few
web pages of Flash for cheap?
Happy Body is 3 products targeted at health & rehabilitative services market

- Is it possible to scroll variable loaded text?I used the AS tag loadVariableNum("/url.txt", 0); into a skewed text box that i
assigned a scroll bar component to. It works when i type text right into Flash,
but when I load text the text shows up with the scrollbar inactive. Is there a
way to fix this? (flash mx)

- How to display quotes in textareaI'm somewhat new to flash (but not programming). I am using loadvars to get
some string values and I'm putting those values in textarea objects. Some of
the strings have single and double quotes. They are showing up as squares in
the textarea objects (meaning flash doesn't know what to do with the
characters).
Can anyone show me how to properly display the quotes in the textarea object?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

- Right!I don't understand a word of script, but I want to make a preloader (a loading
screen). Tell me how! It must be possible to make one by just right clicking
and selecting 'This is a preloader' or something, right?

I've seen a really nice bit of flash where you rollover a button and the movie in the background shoots of in the direction of the target then slows when the bit you want comes into frame. A bit like those things you get on film in a library!
Anyway have a look at the link and if you know how to do it or can point me in the direction of a tutorial that would fantastic!

- exe to screensaverI have an exe that I'm almost sure was created with flash. Is there a way to make that a screensaver on Windows 2K, XP? I may be able to get the source Flash, but not sure

I have a windows app that uses the shockwave component to display a flash
movie. I now want to make it into a dll. I don't need to see the movie, but I
do need to access the flash swf to get some info out of it. Here is my code in
my windows app.

So my C# app makes a call into the swf and the swf returns some info. Anyhow,
in the dll I can no longer use "AxShockwaveFlashObjects". I have been trying
to use "ShockwaveFlashObjects". But the problem is that it does not have a
class called "_IShockwaveFlashEvents_FlashCallEvent ". Can any one shed some
light on how I can do this in a dll?

- Sound is Tinny After Import to FlashI am importing .WAV files that contain speech into Flash 8 Professional on a
Mac. The original sound files are 5kHz Mono 16 Bit. They sound fine when
played in Quicktime, but once I bring them into Flash they get a high tinny
sound to them, sometimes a pop as well.
The reverberating tinny sound is already slightly audible when I stream the
sounds on the timeline. When I Publish the movie it gets worse, not horribly,
but worse. I have tried every possible output combination for the SWF, as well
as turning "Override Sound Settings" off altogether. There is only a slight
difference between the sound output and in every combination the tinny-ness is
still there. I have decided that Raw 11kHz is the least offensive of the
combinations. This is an offline presentation, so file size is not an issue.
I have also tried bringing the sounds into Peak and Normalizing them,
exporting them as AIFs, importing that into Flash, changing the AIF to an MP3
and importing that into Flash, and also a .WAV file. None of those methods
worked, in fact it made it worse in most cases. Again I have come back to the
fact that the files sound fine to the client, so I am trying to find a setting,
or a quirk about Flash that will make them sound as they do in Quicktime prior
to import.
My client is adamant about clearing the problem.... Do you have any
suggestions? Thank you!

- Making images stay when clickedHi,
I am trying to create a button which when upon click makes "A" appear and
stays there.
However, I tried by putting "A" in the Down frame of the button and it would
just blink upon clicking.
"A " is supposed to stay when the button is clicked and only disappear when
another button is clicked
So, anyone has any idea how can I solve this?

Flash, Relink help flies
I am trying to avoid reinstalling all my software after my System file
corrupted. I did a new install of Windows XP Pro to another hard drive. I
reactivate my MX2004 studio which was still in tact on the original hard drive
and all works well but I have lost the link to the help files in Flash. Any
idea how to relink it or do I have to go through the reinstall again?

- Mac Projector, fullscreen but...Hi
I'm making a CD-ROM to be compatible both Mac and PC. Everything went well.
Burnt the CD, one part Mac, the other PC. On the PC, the Flash load as intended
Full Screen, no border whatsoever shown. But on Mac, the header of the window
of the Flash Player is showing. I don't see any option when publishing the
projectors to remove that. In the action track, I made the Fullscreen command.
It works on PC, but not on Mac.
So, any idea on how to remove that header? Thanks.

- Button GraphicsHello-
I am having trouble modifying a button graphic.
Right now it is "invisible" and I simply want to make it visible
and possibly add Text to it but I cannot for the life of me figure out
how to do that In Flash 8... at least without having to create a new button...
is it possible to make an invisible button visible? sorry, I am very new to
flash so

- Help w/ bitmap fontsHey everybody,
I've been having a lot of issues with trying to use a bitmap font for an
application I'm working on. I don't know a lot about fonts, but I know I need
to use a bitmap font, not a pixel font. My problem is that I can't figure out
what file format of bitmap fonts Flash will support.
I've been trying to use fonts that are of .fon format. However, they don't
appear as a font option in Flash once I've installed them. Can anybody help
me?? What font format should I get??

- Help me make better code.This code makes five symbols jump to random points on the screen everytime
it is called...

This code works, but there must be a better way. Something like this?...

I can not get the second bit of code (and various variants of it) to work.

I was looking at the licensing description for FMS 2 here:

and it says that the developer's edition can be deployed into a production
environment.
Ummm...is that to say then that if I have an application that requires no more
than 10 simultaneous connections, I can deploy this server (as many times as I
like) without charge?
That is how it reads to me, and I have searched these forums and Adobe's site
to see some sort of clarrification, but I have found none.
I'd appreciate anyone's insights on this.

- Goto and play scene Z from within a movie cliphello!
ive ran into a problem.. My flash movie has a navigation menu at the top of
the page. but being a show off i had to make it act all fancy. So its got alot
of frames and to make it easy to re-possition ive built it inside a movieclip.
Now when i try to link the 'Home button' with 'On release, Goto and stop -
scene 'Home' Frame '1' (all written in actionscript of corse) The button just
goes to frame one of that movie clip and replays my navigation bar open
animation :(
There must be a way to simply work around this. Id really like to keep my nav
bar contained in a movie clip.

- What if no Flash player?Let us say that I have a flash movie or something like a button that uses flash
on my web site. If someone visits my site and they haven't got a flash player
then all they will see is a box with a red cross in it. Is there any way of a
replacing the blank box with some kind of picture so they have something to
look at?
